Centers for Disease Control: Public Health Effects of Drought

Provided facilitation and technology that enabled a team of over 40 public health decision makers, stakeholders and academics to document the public health effects of drought from a wide variety of interests and perspectives.

Team members submitted individual comments via networked PCs and were able to comment on the ideas submitted by other team members resulting in a very productive and robust draft documented that was handed off to a writing team. High levels of satisfaction were expressed by participants with the productivity, transparency and inclusiveness of the process.

Team participation was expanded with a project website that captured pre and post-session comment by workshop participants and invited guests.

Following a period of CDC and stakeholder review, the document has been accepted for distribution.
