Minimum viable population (MVP) size is an estimate of the number of individuals required for a high probability of survival of a population over a given period of time.

Because this time frame can be over 100 years, there is considerable uncertainty and a range of perceptions.

Group Solutions designed and facilitated a series of workshops with science teams to establishing consensus on minimum viable populations of gopher tortoises.

Group Solutions also assisted in the development of a successful model for bringing conservationists and developers together to advise FWS on streamlining regulation and permitting of gopher tortoise mitigation activities.
